Jev for e-commerce: from categories to customer support

Proposed pilots for online shop catalogs, product search and customer inquiries, with no false promises about automation.

Start with a reversible task

This page contains our proposals, not savings that have already been measured. As a first pilot, we recommend suggesting product categories. The model sees the necessary description and a limited list of candidates; a staff member checks the result. There is no need to complicate identical EANs and unambiguous rules with a model.

An inquiry is not a resolved case

In customer support, keep the “complaint” label separate from the handling status. The model can suggest how to route a message. However, it must not declare on its own that the customer has received a reply, that a refund was justified or that the case has been closed.

To begin with, we recommend three simple questions: what the main topic is, whether the customer is asking for a specific action, and whether the text contains the necessary information. Leave the rules for day-to-day operations and for blocking orders to the application.

Relevance is not compatibility

For similar products, a semantic model can help rank the candidates. For a replacement remote control, a charger or a component, however, a similar description does not confirm compatibility. Exact model designations and compatibility tables take precedence.

Delivery dates must remain a calculation

The vendor of Jev itself warns about precise calculations and date comparisons. S07 That is why we would calculate the delivery promise from availability, order time, the calendar and shipping rules. AI can check that the text is clear, not shift the date at will.

What to measure

Record the number of products checked, incorrect suggestions, review time and the share of unclear cases. Calculate the financial benefit only from your own measurements. Without them, “we’ll save 90% of the work” does not belong on a website.

Sources and level of verification

The check date refers to the available sources; it does not guarantee the current state of any account or service.
